# How to set up

This guide will walk you through on how to set up DayZ Manager for your Game Server.

# 1. Requirements

You will need a DayZ Server hosted on Nitrado (PC / PS / XBOX). Make sure to wait with the setup of DayZ Manager until your server is fully available in Nitrado. You will also need a discord account to set up an admin account on your server.

# 2. Log into DayZ Manager

Visit the Server Panel by logging into via Discord:

# 3. Connect your server

Click the big green button “Connect your own server now!” to connect your server in Nitrado. Follow the instructions on Nitrado’s Website until you come back to DayZ-Manager.

In case you have more than one game server: You will have to select the game server you want to connect.

After this, you should be redirected to your server’s home page.

# 4. Visit Admin Panel

To administer your server, you will need to switch to the admin panel. You can do this using the link on the top left (above the server name): “Server Admin”.

Hint: You can always go back to the non-administrative panel using the link on your top right (within the admin panel): “Open Shop”.

# 5. Set the admin username

Visit the “Players” area of your admin panel and open up the “admin” player. Change the username to your in-game username so the manager will not create a new player when first seeing logs from your user.

In case you have been online recently and the manager has already created a new player for your username (you won’t be able to re-use the username then): Open up a ticket in our Discord so an moderator can manually merge your accounts.

# 6. Update your server settings

In the admin panel, open up “Settings” and update the most important settings:

Server Name
Subdomain
Synchronize player lists
Discord Server ID
